A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a high school setting in Springfield, MA. This contract role is ideal for experienced professionals who have a passion for working with adolescents and supporting speech and language development within educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct speech and language screenings and follow-up activities as directed.
- Provide direct therapy to students under supervision, focusing on communication skills improvement.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
- Collaborate with educators and related service personnel to support student communication needs.
- Attend team meetings relevant to student therapy and educational planning.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, as required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in high school settings.
- Ability to follow treatment protocols and work under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with school policies and educational environments is a plus.

- Position based within a high school in Springfield, Massachusetts.
