Sunbelt Needs a SLPA for a Great District in Redwood City Area!!
OPEN TO TRAVEL CANDIDATES - PLEASE APPLY!!Provide specialized support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a dynamic K-12 school environment in Redwood City, CA. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work itinerantly, serving different schools throughout the district each day, helping students achieve their communication goals under the guidance of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
Key Qualifications:
- Current SLPA certification or relevant credentials required
- Minimum of one year of experience in a school-based setting; new graduates are not eligible
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying school environments daily
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse student populations and staff
Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans and documenting student progress
- Assist in delivering speech and language services across multiple school sites on an itinerant basis
- Prepare materials, maintain therapy equipment, and participate in student assessments as directed
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to reinforce therapeutic strategies
Location and Schedule:
- Position is located in Redwood City, CA
- Work will involve travel to different schools across the district on a daily basis
- Full-time position, 30 hours per week, with a contract duration through June 5, 2026
