Provide specialized support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic K-12 school setting. This role involves working with students across all grade levels, from elementary through high school, to assist speech-language pathologists in delivering effective communication interventions tailored to diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans for students in grades K-12.
- Support students’ communication skills development in individual or group settings.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) planning.
Qualifications:
- Active state SLPA License.
- Experience working with students across multiple grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow therapeutic protocols and adapt to student needs.
- Commitment to student growth and educational support.
Location: Prospect Heights, IL
Details:
- Contract position with a start date as soon as possible.
- Duration: Through the end of the current school year with excellent potential for renewal.
- Schedule: 35 hours per week, 5 days a week.
