School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Manson, Washington
A K-12 educational setting in Manson, WA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support district speech-language services. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering vital communication support to students across preschool through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed SLPs in providing speech and language therapy to students from preschool to 12th grade.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Help prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure integrated support for students’ communication goals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) required.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably K-12.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate children across a wide age range.
- Understanding of various speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
Work Details:
- Location: Manson, Washington.
- Contract term: Current School Year (CSY).
- Daily hours: Approximately 6.5 hours per day.
- Caseload size to be determined.
- Caseload age range: Preschool through 12th grade.
