School-Based SLP | Winston-Salem, North Carolina
A speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Winston-Salem, NC, serving K-12 students in a school setting. This contract role runs through the current school year with anticipated dates from ASAP to January 31, 2026. The position requires an NC-licensed SLP with experience using ECATS software and management of Medicaid billing.
Responsibilities include providing speech-language services to students with communication deficits in articulation, language, voice, and fluency. The SLP develops Individual Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families, plans and conducts therapy, performs screening and diagnostic testing, and coordinates with school staff and external professionals. Documentation and Medicaid billing for eligible students is a key component. This role is onsite only, with a caseload of approximately 40-45 students over 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Minimum qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- NC Department of Public Instruction G License required
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience with ECATS and Infinite Campus software systems
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology services in school settings
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and oversee therapy services
- Prior Medicaid billing experience required
- Capable of collaborating with school personnel, families, and administrators
- No supervisory responsibilities for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) at this time
- Onsite presence required; remote work is not available
