Speech and Language Pathologist in Waterbury, CT
Provide specialized speech-language therapy services in an elementary school setting within the Waterbury, CT area. This full-time, contract position spans the current school year with an anticipated end date of June 9, 2026, offering an opportunity to support a diverse student population in inclusive classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students across various disability categories within general education settings.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reporting in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with families regarding student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF).
- Valid and active Connecticut license to practice speech-language pathology.
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is mandatory.
- Completion of district fingerprint and background checks in accordance with state requirements.
- Availability to work onsite roughly 35 hours per week with work hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
- Willingness to split time between two elementary school sites (specific sites to be determined).

- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) considered for this role.
