A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Washington, DC, offering a contract role from ASAP through 6/22/26, with the potential for Extended School Year (ESY) services. This opportunity involves providing specialized speech therapy services to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to a diverse caseload including students requiring AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to implement individualized education plans tailored to student needs.
- Utilize teletherapy and in-person approaches as appropriate to support student communication development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) credential with experience in school-based settings.
- Familiarity with pediatric populations and teletherapy techniques.
- Experience working with AAC devices and assisting students with complex communication needs.
- Prior experience under a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, contributing between 15 to 18 hours weekly.
