School Speech Therapist | Pawtucket, Rhode Island
A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 public school district in Pawtucket, RI. This contract role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse student population across multiple schools as determined by district needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Providing direct therapy services to a caseload of up to 40 students.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Participating in meetings, team discussions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist, including SLP-CFY (clinical fellowship year) or SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
- Experience delivering speech-language services in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred to better support the diverse student body.
- Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently while adapting to the needs of students district-wide.
