Teletherapy Speech Therapy in CA
Providing speech-language pathology services through teletherapy in an elementary school setting requires a licensed and skilled professional capable of delivering effective remote support to K-6 students, including some preschool and transitional preschoolers. This full-semester contract position is based in Glendale, CA, focusing on comprehensive speech therapy and case management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver teletherapy sessions focusing on speech-language pathology for elementary students, with occasional service to preschool and transitional preschoolers.
- Manage caseload effectively, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) for part of the week.
- Coordinate services across two elementary school sites, spending three days at one site and two days at another, both equipped with dedicated speech therapy rooms.
- Maintain a professional and engaging online presence to facilitate teletherapy sessions.
- Complete required live scan fingerprinting and comply with California residency requirements.
- Collaborate with onsite SLPs to ensure consistency and quality of care.
Qualifications:
- VOCO certified California SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working with K-6 students, including preschool and transitional preschool populations.
- Proven ability to supervise SLPA effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in teletherapy and remote speech services.
- Must reside in California to fulfill contract obligations.
- Strong organizational skills for case management and documentation.
