VocoVision is Hiring a Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a virtual capacity. In this role, you will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages who exhibit communication, language, and swallowing disorders. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while making a significant impact on the lives of your clients.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals across the lifespan.
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Administer standardized tests, observe clients, and gather information from families and caregivers to assess the nature and severity of communication disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Set clear goals and objectives for addressing issues related to speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Lead one-on-one or group therapy sessions designed to improve speech and language skills.
- Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based strategies, including articulation exercises, language drills, and voice therapy, to help clients improve their communication abilities.
- Progress Monitoring: Track client progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and provide regular feedback to families and caregivers.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and the ability to deliver therapy in a virtual setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and families in a virtual environment.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC license in Illinois
- 2+ years of experience in school-based settings.
