Pediatric Speech Pathology - Rapid City, SD
This opportunity is for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a vibrant school setting located in the scenic hills near Mount Rushmore, South Dakota. This position offers in-person service delivery with a full semester contract, providing a rewarding environment for professionals passionate about pediatric speech therapy.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs preferred
- Experience working in healthcare or school settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus but in-person presence required
- Comfort working with a diverse student population from elementary through high school levels
- Recent graduates in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) encouraged to apply
- Experience supporting or collaborating with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
Location & Schedule:
- Based in the beautiful hills of South Dakota, near Mount Rushmore
- Full-time hours: 37.5 per week, typically 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Part-time opportunities available for 2-3 days per week
- In-person services only
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and consultation services for speech and language disorders among diverse students
- Collaborate with four available SLPAs to enhance student support
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Work closely with faculty and administration to develop tailored therapy plans
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
