School Speech Language Pathologist - Sterling Heights, Michigan

You'll work at a single elementary school, ensuring consistency and the ability to build strong relationships with your caseload of approximately 53 students. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with a workweek of 38-40 hours, perfectly aligning with the academic calendar.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license for the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, particularly K-5, is highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other support professionals
- Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver speech and language therapy for K-5 students
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff to support students’ communication and educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress updates
- Implement therapy in both individual and group settings within the school community
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student engagement and growth
