A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide specialized support to middle school students with mild to moderate speech and language needs. This contract position, located near Detroit, Michigan, offers the opportunity to serve a caseload of approximately 45 students in a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to monitor progress and adjust therapy goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Support social communication skills and language development within the school setting
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably middle school level
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, particularly mild to moderate cases
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 45 students efficiently
