This opportunity is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a traditional K-5 school setting in Ann Arbor, MI. The role entails providing support to elementary students across grades K-5, focusing on individualized speech and language services within a caseload of 45-55 students. The position is contracted for the entire school year and follows elementary school hours from 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each student’s specific needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Certificate of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY).
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively within a school environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
