Speech-Language Pathologist in Santa Clara, CA
This opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) with experience in K-12 school settings. Located in the Santa Clara and Sunnyvale area, this contract assignment runs from now until the end of the current school year, with the potential to continue based on mutual fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to a caseload of 15-20 students with moderate to severe needs.
- Deliver individualized interventions and supports aligned with educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school policies.
- Work at one location for the full workday, eliminating the need to travel between campuses.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid credentials as an SLP or SLPA with demonstrated experience in school-based settings.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders affecting K-12 students.
- Ability to manage a moderate to severe caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with educational compliance and documentation requirements.
Details:
- Full-time contract position, 5 days per week, 40 hours total.
- Assignment duration: current school year with possibility for extension.
- Work takes place at a single campus daily within the Santa Clara or Sunnyvale areas.
- Candidates open to either SLP or SLPA roles are encouraged to apply if they meet experience criteria.
- Note: Currently, there is no voice output communication device (VOCO) component for this role.
