School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Salisbury, North Carolina
A North Carolina Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a K-12 school setting in Salisbury, NC. This contract position runs from ASAP through January 31, 2026, requiring 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates will have experience with ECATS and provide direct speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 40-45 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with communicative needs in speech, language, voice, articulation, and fluency, maximizing their communication potential based on age and cognition.
- Coordinate services with educational staff and families to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain thorough documentation and Medicaid billing profiles for eligible students.
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and LEA representatives.
- Provide effective therapy using diagnostic tools and appropriate techniques aligned with curriculum goals.
- Consult and collaborate with school personnel and families, offering recommendations and referrals as needed.
- Organize and coordinate the school speech-language program while adhering to regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- NC Department of Public Instruction G License required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Board of Examiners license is a plus.
- ECATS and Infinite Campus software proficiency strongly preferred.
- No current positions for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
- Onsite presence required; no remote work available.
- Experience working in school settings with a focus on exceptional children preferred.
