A contract position is available for a Speech Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in the Jacksonville area. This role requires licensed professionals to provide services as itinerant support across multiple schools within the district. The focus is on serving students with mild to moderate communication needs from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students aged Pre-K to 12th grade
- Manage an estimated caseload of approximately 60 students with mild to moderate needs
- Provide itinerant services across multiple school sites within the district
- Collaborate with educators and other support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Adhere to all state licensure and district policies for therapy services
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in a school-based setting is preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations efficiently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with education professionals and families
- Commitment to supporting student progress in communication and language development
Location: Jacksonville area, Florida
Schedule: 35 hours per week, on-site only
Duration: Contract through end of school year, ending May 28, 2026
