Pediatric School-Based SLP | Myrtle Creek, Oregon
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 26/27 school year in a K-12 setting located in Myrtle Creek, OR, with additional openings around Jackson County and Roseburg, OR. This contract position offers an engaging caseload primarily focused on Early Childhood Special Education serving children aged 3-5 years, along with diverse student populations across the district.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech therapy services and participating in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings
- Managing an average starting caseload of 35 students, with an expected caseload growth to 65 by year-end
- Offering speech groups once per week and delivering individualized therapy approximately 40 minutes per month via a push-in consultation model
- Collaborating with three Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), adjusting caseloads accordingly based on supervisory responsibilities
- Working alongside three speech department Instructional Assistants who support bilingual students and aid in preparation and clinical fellow supervision
- Serving a student population with approximately 20% Spanish speakers
This role requires a licensed SLP able to provide services onsite in Oregon. The district supports clinical fellows (CFs) and welcomes applicants at various stages of their SLP career, including CFY. Placement will be tailored to preferences and commuting considerations.
