School Speech Therapist | Rochester, New York

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide essential services within a K-12 educational setting in Rochester, NY. This contract position offers the opportunity to support a diverse caseload of students ranging from ages 3 to 22 across a district-wide program. The role is scheduled from September 2, 2025, through June 26, 2026, with full-time hours Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students within the school district following individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation related to student progress and therapy services.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to district-wide initiatives supporting student communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence are highly encouraged to apply.
- New York State SLP licensure required.
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations is preferred.
- Willingness to work with students across a broad age range (3-22 years).
- Candidates currently in their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Position Details:
- Location: Rochester, NY
- Schedule: Up to 7 paid hours per day on a 7.5-hour day (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday.
- Caseload: To be determined.
- Employment type: Contract for the current school year.
