School Speech Therapist - Pawtucket, Rhode Island
A rewarding opportunity is available for a certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in an elementary school setting in Pawtucket, RI. This part-time role focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to PreK through Grade 3 students during the full academic semester. The position offers a structured schedule from 8 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off, allowing for a balanced workweek.
Key Qualifications:
- Current RI SLP-CCC certification required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for young children
- Ability to collaborate with educators and families to support student communication development
- Effective documentation and progress reporting abilities
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for PreK and early elementary students
- Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans to address communication disorders
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy as needed
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to support student learning and communication needs
- Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation on time
This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through June 15, 2026, with paid workdays Monday to Thursday only. The role offers a competitive hourly pay rate and is supported by a staffing agency that provides weekly pay, guaranteed hours, as well as access to comprehensive health benefits and a 401(k) retirement plan.
