About the Speech-Language Pathologist Role
In this role, you will provide evaluation and treatment services for students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and social communication needs. You will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress and ensure compliance with special education requirements.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering therapy services, developing IEP goals, monitoring progress, and participating in team meetings. This position is well suited for SLPs who thrive in structured school settings and value collaborative practice.
Requirements for the Role
Candidates must meet Texas education, certification, and licensure requirements, including:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license issued by TDLR

Texas Education Agency (TEA) speech services certification or eligibility

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Experience providing school-based speech and language services

Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams

Completion of Texas school district background check requirements
