Ideal candidates should hold their SLP-CCC or be in their CFY, with experience or confidence working in school settings across elementary and middle school age groups. Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Illinois SLP licensure or eligibility
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
  • Prior school-based experience working with K-8 populations preferred
  • Comfort working on-site (remote or virtual services not considered)
  • Strong documentation and case management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to students in a school environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
  • Maintain records in line with district and state compliance standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts
