A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Lockport, NY, serving primarily an elementary school setting. This contract role runs from September 2025 through June 2026 during the normal school year, providing an opportunity to support students’ communication development within a structured academic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, families, and caregivers
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Provide resources and guidance to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant educational laws
