Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Mooresville, North Carolina
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in educational settings to support elementary students. This position offers a contract for the 2026-2027 school year, providing a balanced caseload and a professional environment dedicated to fostering student communication development.
Location: Mooresville, NC
Setting: Elementary schools (including one with pre-K students)
Schedule: 37.5 to 40 hours per week
Caseload: 50 or fewer students
Duration: Contract for the 2026-2027 school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students across elementary grade levels, including pre-K
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with educational policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student IEP (Individualized Education Program) development
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric healthcare and educational settings, specifically within schools
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders in pediatric populations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
