Speech-Language Pathologist in Metairie, LA

This full-time school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Metairie, LA, serving students from PreK through 8th grade. The role is onsite and offers a contract for the complete school year (CSY). Candidates with certifications in SLP and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are welcome to apply, and those completing their clinical fellowship year (CF) will also be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy services to a caseload of students within the school setting
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student communication goals
- Conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to a supportive learning environment
Choose your preferred caseload:
- PreK to 8th grade with a caseload of 50-60 students
- 4th to 8th grade with a caseload of approximately 55 students
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and appropriate school credentials
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with K-12 populations in school settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite full time
