School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Metairie, Louisiana
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in a K-8 school setting located in Metairie, LA. This contract role involves working onsite with students in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in PreK through 8th-grade students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Provide support and guidance for students in both small group and one-on-one settings.
Preferred Caseload Options:
- Caseload 1: PreK-8th grade with 50-60 students
- Caseload 2: 4th-8th grade with approximately 55 students Candidates should specify their preferred caseload upon application.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials preferred.
- Experience working in K-12 school environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to work onsite full-time.
