Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Arvada, CO
This opportunity is for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide essential support in a K-8 educational setting. The position is a contract role for the 2025-2026 school year, focused on delivering direct speech and language services to students with varying levels of needs.
Location: Arvada, CO (K-12 School)
Contract Duration: December 1, 2025 – May 29, 2026
Weekly Hours: 37.5 - 40 hours
Caseload: 35-40 students, including 20-25 with mild to moderate needs and 10-15 with moderate to severe needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across K-8 grade levels
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and referrals for students requiring speech-language support
- Collaborate with educators and families through consultations and participation in IEP and 504 meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational and clinical standards
Qualifications:
- Current SLP licensure with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; CFs and SLPAs are not eligible for this position
- Experience serving school-aged children in a school setting, preferably in a K-8 environment
- Ability to manage a caseload with diverse speech and language challenges, including mild/moderate and moderate/severe needs
- Strong organizational skills for managing assessments, meetings, and service delivery documentation
- Must provide current CDE (Colorado Department of Education) certification with application
This role requires participation in a prescreening phone call followed by an interview process. The schedule and caseload provide a dynamic opportunity to impact students' communication skills directly.
