This opportunity offers a professional role for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve a K-8 caseload in a dynamic school environment in Metairie, LA. The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week), contract-based, and onsite, providing direct support to PreK through 8th-grade students with speech and language needs. The caseload ranges from 50 to 60 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for students PreK-8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and compliance with school guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credential, with preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders or candidates nearing completion
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for working within a multidisciplinary educational environment
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while providing high-quality care
