This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience working in K-12 school settings. The position is based in Garland, TX, and is a contract role for the current school year (CSY).
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Proven experience providing speech therapy services within school environments
- Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and developmental communication disorders
- Strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to school-age children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on communication goals
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
