This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive therapy services in a K-12 school setting. The role involves delivering specialized support to students to help them meet their individualized education program (IEP) goals while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective intervention.
Location: Howell, MI
Assignment Duration: September 17, 2025 – June 3, 2026 (Contract Position)
School Hours:
- Byron Elementary: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Byron Middle/High School: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Durand High School: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Implement therapy services aligned with IEP goals and objectives for a caseload of approximately 50 students
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and complete IEP and Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) reports
- Manage Medicaid billing for therapy services accurately and timely
- Actively participate in staffing meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 educational environment
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and related educational regulations
- Effective communication and organizational skills
