Pediatric Speech Pathology - Homestead, FL
A one-year contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist serving children aged 2 to 18 in a K-12 school setting near Florida City, FL. This position provides individualized outpatient pediatric therapy, focusing on clients with mild to moderate speech and language delays. The caseload primarily includes children with receptive and expressive delays, reading and writing challenges, articulation issues, pragmatic language skills, and high-functioning autism. This role excludes medically fragile cases and emphasizes tailored one-on-one therapy sessions.
Key responsibilities include conducting assessments and evaluations, delivering direct therapy, and participating actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. The therapist will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans to support each child's unique communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants are welcome
- Current Florida state license for Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills considered a strong asset
Location: Near Florida City, FL (Homestead area) Assignment Duration: One-year contract with the possibility of extension or permanent placement
