Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) to provide speech and language services to students in a school-based setting. The selected candidate will support students across two assigned campuses and provide supervision to a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Caseload details will be determined based on district needs.
Essential Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and other school-based meetings.
Supervise and mentor a bilingual SLPA in accordance with state and district regulations.
Support students in accessing the curriculum through effective communication strategies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
Bilingual proficiency required.
Previous school-based experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Credentialing Requirements
Time-sensitive credentialing process required.
Current professional license must be active and in good standing.
Image/copy of professional license must be submitted for presentation.
Additional district onboarding requirements may apply, including background checks and verification of credentials.
Preferred Skills
Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Knowledge of special education procedures and IEP compliance.
Ability to manage multiple campuses and collaborate with diverse educational teams.
Experience working with bilingual and multilingual student populations.
