Speech-Language Pathologist in Harrisburg, SD

A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support maternity leave coverage in a middle school setting. This contract position spans two assignments, providing essential speech therapy services to students ranging from elementary to intermediate levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 30 students in grades 5-6 on a one-day-per-week basis from October 20 to December 17.
- Providing full-time therapy services for over 70 elementary students from January 23 through April.
- Collaborating with an onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of effective interventions.
- Adhering to school policies and education standards while tailoring treatment plans to individual student needs.
- Ensuring clear communication with teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding student progress.
Qualifications and experience:
- Licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience working in educational settings.
- Ability and willingness to work with both intermediate (5th-6th grade) and elementary age groups.
- Experience collaborating with SLPAs and demonstrated knowledge of when SLPA support is required.
- Must have completed clinical fellowship requirements (CF) as candidates without CF are not eligible for this assignment.
