A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage starting mid-December through the end of the current school year (June) in a K-12 setting located in Gresham, OR. This contracted position focuses on serving children ages 3–5 within Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs. Services are delivered in homes and community preschool settings, primarily within Southwest Portland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments for young children ages 3–5.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services in home and community-based preschool environments.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with state and school policies.
- Participate in team meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Current Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Experience working within early childhood special education settings.
- Ability to deliver services in person; virtual service provision or the use of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) is not permitted.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with families and educational staff.
