Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Fort Leavenworth, KS
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 school in Fort Leavenworth, KS. This contract opportunity runs through the current school year, ending May 22, 2026. The role offers collaboration with a dedicated speech team, including two other SLP staff members, to support a caseload of approximately 60 students with varying and significant speech-language needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech-language services to students across K-12 grade levels
- Working collaboratively with SLP colleagues to manage and deliver individualized therapy plans
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Maintaining clear documentation and progress reports for student files
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to support student success and accommodations
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 students, preferably in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to manage a caseload with diverse and significant communication needs effectively
