A school near Deltona, FL is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) for an onsite, full-time contract position. This role serves grades 6–8 at a single campus, working closely with educators, families, and a committed student services team.
The caseload consists of 60–65 students, offering you the chance to build meaningful relationships and guide students in meeting their communication goals during a pivotal stage in their education. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through late May, giving you the satisfaction of seeing your students’ progress throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or equivalent
- Active FL SLP License
- CCC certification through ASHA
- Previous school-based experience required
- Experience working with middle school-aged students strongly preferred
- Ability to complete all required district background checks, fingerprinting, and credentialing
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students in grades 6-8
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to foster student success
- Maintain timely documentation and participate in meetings as needed
