School Speech Therapist | Chico, California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting in Chico, CA. This contract position spans the entire school year, with an anticipated end date of May 28, 2026. The role requires delivering itinerant services across multiple school locations, enhancing communication skills for students with diverse speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy to K-12 students
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
- Travel regularly to Spring Valley School, Bangor Elementary School, and Berry Creek Elementary School to support students onsite
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports compliant with state and district standards
- Collaborate with special education teachers and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- California Teaching Credential (CTC) in Education, with specialization in special education or related field
- Experience delivering speech-language pathology services in a school setting (K-12)
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively between multiple school sites
- Strong organizational and communication skills
