School Speech Therapist | Rome, Georgia
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a maternity leave contract serving PreK students across multiple daycares within a K-12 school district in Rome, GA. This itinerant role involves providing essential speech and language services to young children in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to approximately 13 PreK students with IEPs, managing caseload and documentation effectively
- Travel to 4-5 daycare locations throughout the district to provide onsite services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings related to student progress and goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLP license and Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK students, is highly preferred
- Strong caseload management and IEP case management skills
- Ability to work independently while traveling between multiple sites
Location and Duration:
- Position based in Rome, GA, serving various daycare locations within the district including Head Start South and North
- Contract duration: approximately December 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026, with some flexibility for transition days
- Full-time hours ranging from 37.5 to 40 hours per week
- This is an onsite position requiring travel to multiple daycare locations
