A School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a preschool to elementary-aged student population at an elementary school located in Silver Spring, MD. This contract position is expected to begin as soon as possible and run through June 10, 2026. The schedule includes 22.5 billable hours per week distributed over three days, serving a caseload primarily within early childhood and elementary grades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students from preschool through elementary levels.
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and implement therapy plans.
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods; experience with AAC is preferred.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other special education professionals to enhance student outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a speech-language pathologist.
- Experience working within school settings is highly valued.
