Speech-Language Pathologist in Arlington Heights, IL
Shape young minds and support communication growth as a Speech Language Pathologist in a highly collaborative school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time, school-based role caters primarily to elementary students, with a maximum caseload of 35-40 students, all within one home base setting. You’ll play an essential role in a thriving dual language program, serving Spanish-speaking and bilingual students—fluency in Spanish is required to meet the needs of this diverse population.
With flexibility to arrange your working hours around the school day, this contract opportunity offers immediate start dates following orientation and a quick hiring process. Candidates who are newly credentialed (CFY) are encouraged to apply, as supervision and robust onsite support are provided to help launch your career or elevate your expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Illinois SLP licensure or eligibility
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a requirement
- Valid SLP-CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (supervision available for new grads)
- Comfortable working with elementary populations and dual language programs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication services to elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Manage and maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary teams
- Utilize materials provided and engage in ongoing professional development
