Job Description: Prince George County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position with a caseload consisting of approximately 50-60 students spanning from Pre-K to Grade 5.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills.
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Virginia state licensure as an SLP.
- School-based experience is preferred.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of students.
Work Environment: The chosen SLP will have their own dedicated classroom located in one of the trailers on campus. This space is situated beside the OT/PT classroom, fostering collaboration and communication among related service providers.
