Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Sanford, NC. As an SLP, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This position allows you to make a significant impact on the educational and social development of students by helping them overcome communication challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students' needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and IEP (Individualized Education Program) development
- Provide guidance and support to staff regarding speech and language strategies
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- North Carolina state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
