Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in New Haven, IN. The ideal candidate will provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff to help students achieve their academic and social potential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students with speech, language, or communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students based on assessment results
- Provide speech and language therapy to students individually or in small groups
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students in their academic and social development
- Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, modifications, and accommodations
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies
- Participate in team meetings to coordinate care and ensure consistent support for students
- Stay current with best practices and participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Indiana state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in a school-based setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient with students, fostering a positive and supportive environment
- Must pass a background check and be eligible to work in a school setting
