Job Description:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse student population, providing speech and language therapy services that are vital to their educational success. Whether you are an experienced SLP with your Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or a Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) ready to begin your career, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to therapy.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Eligibility for Louisiana state licensure as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or completion of a Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with students and making a positive impact on their lives.
