The allure is totally of its own making: the wide array of people, top-shelf shows and world-class entertainers, “The Strip’s” site-seeing, and the potential for the big win. The Bellagio, where Cirque de Soleil performs ‘O,’ attracts throngs of people who wait patiently to view the free choreographed water show. To see nature harnessed, visit the Hoover Dam which is only 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas. The American Society of Civil Engineers rated it one of America’s Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders. For a different take on man versus nature, travel Highway 50, known as the Loneliest Highway in America, so named by “Life” magazine, with only a few road stops in its 287-mile stretch. Yet with all of these attractions most of Nevada is still uninhabited, brush-covered desert. You’ll have plenty to see and do during your next SLP job to Nevada.
