Description: Soliant, a leading healthcare staffing company, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Thousand Oaks, CA. As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work with special needs children, making a positive impact on their lives and helping them reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose communication disorders and speech-language delays in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment for students
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Provide training and support to parents and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy techniques at home
- Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and school-related activities
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Experience working with children and/or in a school-based setting is a plus, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
