School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Contract Eastern UP Michigan

Sunbelt is seeking a Contract School Speech Language Pathologist for the 2022-2023 school year in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. This full-time position will be on-site with grades K-12 with a variety of needs. If you have one year experience and meet the minimum requirements, you are encouraged to apply.

Education: Master of Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Caseload: 2 days K-8, 3 days K-12, variety of needs

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing and providing speech-language services to facilitate a variety of needs to K-12.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Michigan SLP License

• Master’s in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

• CCC’S or CFY required

Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce and enhance performance
2. Facilitate the learning of those skills and functions essential for communication and swallowing, to diminish or remediate disorders of deficits
3. Directs activities to promote and maintain health, within the scope of practice and consistent with the Code of Ethics of the profession
4. Identify need for and make referral to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient
5. As necessary or applicable, supervises CFY provisional licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards
